They can work with national and multinational manufacturers of computers. Computer Engineers work with one of the most important office automation products-computers-in an expanding technological field. Computer Engineers design the computer and its control systems (the hardware ) and also develop computer programmes ( the software). They are constantly engaged in improving the end product and building the state of -the -art equipment -super computers, multimedia machines, graphic terminals, laser and inkjet printers, Pentium based machines, etc. The development of systems software and software for scientific and industrial applications is an important component of the course, as also training in hardware development.
Civil Engineering is one of the core engineering disciples which deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment such as Building, Roads, Bridges, Dams, Airports etc. Civil Engineering activities takes place in the public sector from the local bodies to the national level and in private sector both in India and abroad. In METS, the Civil engineering Department comprises of well qualified and trained team of faculty members including persons with vast industrial experience. In order to ensure high standards to students and to supplement their theoretical knowledge, the department is having well equipped and modern laboratories with Total Stations, Spectrophotometer, Water Quality Analyzer, UTM CBR testing machine etc. METS have the facility to certify the compressive strength of concrete, bricks etc for outside clients and to conduct various water quality tests.
B.Tech in ECE is a perfect blend of science and applied mathematics with technologies, which immediately addresses the areas of Design, Research, Testing and consumable electronics. Digital signal processing, satellite communication, embedded systems, mobile computing and IoT, which comes under this Engineering, reduces the distance between society and various automation technologies. Mechanical Engineers have wide job opportunities in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Biotechnology systems, Computers and electronics ,Micro Electro Mechanical Systems(MEMS), Energy conversion ,Environment control, Robotic automation, Manufacturing Technology lab, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery lab, Metallurgical lab, Instrumentation lab, CNC lab and CAD lab to fulfill the academic requirements and to conduct research activities funded by state and central Government.
M-Tech in bioprocess engineering is the advanced course of B.Tech in Biotechnology. The course embraces metabolic engineering, advanced genetic engineering, advanced enzyme science, bioprocess plant design, pharmaceutical biotechnology, membrane separation technology etc..There are widespread career openings especially in pharmaceutical companies, food processing plants and research labs etc. Under APJAKTU, METS is the only Campus which offers this specialization under Biotechnology Department across the State.
